Cannot add a reference of sharpkml to visual studio 2012 project

Hello everyone,
I'm having a problem adding SharpKml as a reference to my visual studio 2012 project. I have created the project as a Windows 8 store application (C#/XAML) and I would like to use SharpKml to parse some kml files to get some markers and add them to a Bing map.

I tried copying the file to the project directory and then adding the reference, as the getting started article suggests, without success.

(The project target '.NETCore' while the file reference targets '.NETFramework'. This is not a supported scenario).

I'm a beginner with C# and visual studio and I can't really find any solution to this problem.

Thanks for trying the library!

The issue is that a Windows 8 store application targets a different version of the .NET framework. When I get some spare time I will try to see what changes are required to make it target the .NET Core framework.

I've copied the discussion to a work item here.
